What Is the Color of Gold?

Gold is found in your twinkling smile,

I feel golden inside when we sit and talk awhile.

The cool breeze that blows through the trees is gold

on a hot summer day,

You can always find gold, it never grows old,

because gold is joy, not a year’s pay.

Can Joy grow old? I think not.

Joy is always there for you, whether you think of it a little or a lot.

The color of gold matches to no other, its shine,

its sparkle, its beauty tells of every other color.

Gold, to me, is the love and beauty of everything my eyes have found.

And that, of course, includes Lincoln Street Elementary,

the best school in town.

Fourth Grade Winner

What Is the Color of Gold?

The smile on someone’s face

Harmony in music

Effort in your education

Collecting trash around the world

Opening up your heart

Loving everyone

Overlooking other people’s mistakes

Reaching your goals

Obtaining an achievement

Finishing what you start

Greeting people with respect

Optimistic about the world

Listening to those around you

Diving deep into one’s mind

What Is the Color of Gold?

What is the color of gold?

It’s not always something to hold.

The color of gold is the sun shining bright.

The color of gold gives all of us light.

The color of gold is found here and there.

The color of gold is found everywhere.

Gold can be seen in the brilliance of streams.

Gold can be won by some hard working teams.

Medals, trophies, smiles, and beams.

Gold can be found in the middle of dreams.

What is the color of gold?

It’s not always something to hold.

Gold’s a color for a great piece of art.

Gold is a color that is found in your heart.

If I look for gold, where should I start?

You already have it. It’s right in your heart.
