Friend of the DayJ

The program “Friend of the day” is designed to not only reward all students for working hard each day, but also to: help us learn more about our students, improve communication skills, facilitate classroom responsibility, and also improve self-confidence.

Duties Include:

1-    Bringing Clifford home for 1 night and recording your special visit in the “take home journal”.

2-  Sharing about your visit with Clifford the next school day.

3-  Bringing in a special item the next day to share with the class as a special “Show and Tell” privilege.

The special item to share should be something special to your child that they would like the class to see and which also will help their classmates learn more about them individually. Examples include:

·        Special collections the child has.

·        Favorite piece of artwork

·        Special book

·        Special photos

*Even though sharing is encouraged to improve our social/communication skills, it is fine if your child does not want to talk in front of the whole group. With that said, we would still love to see your child’s share items on their “special” day.
